📍 Towns Park, Midleton

Midleton RFC secured a thrilling bonus-point victory over Malahide RFC in a high-scoring encounter at Towns Park, coming out on top 43–34 after a pulsating eighty minutes of rugby.

The away side got off to a fast start with a try in the first minute. Ted Coleman responded 5 minutes later, setting the tone for an end-to-end contest. Two tries from JB, a penalty try and another from Flor just before half time kept the scoreboard ticking over, giving the the lads a big lead at the break.

Malahide came out fighting in the second half, the visitors touching down tries in quick succession. With JB getting a yellow card and the game on a knife edge, Malahide managed to reduce the deficit to just 3 points.

However, Midleton’s consistent forward pressure proved decisive, with JB adding his 3rd late on and Willie Meyer diving over for his first AIL try in the 71st minute to seal the win.
