New head coach Fergus Burke has been putting the teams through their paces at the pre-season training sessions this month!

“This is going to be a challenging year for the club and our senior side due to immigration and retirements.  This years coaches Fergus Burke and Dave Lee have so far put in a huge effort in the off-season and are now well into preseason” said David Ryan – director of Rugby.

Dave also said “The club is in a transition period at the moment with more and more emphasis being put on our underage. We have some good young lads coming through the ranks and it is not without the help of former senior players and all the other coaches that players are going to come through to senior players for Midleton.”

We are also participating in the Rugby Faculty programme with the Munster branch and it is hoped that this will bring some fluency right through from minis to AIL players.   Dave would also like to wish all our coaches and players every success for the coming season.

Best of luck to all teams in the coming season!!!
